Overview

The Performance Marketing Analyst is responsible for effectively monitoring, measuring, and providing optimization recommendations of the company’s digital and traditional media efforts through a variety of channels.  This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual passionate about digital marketing and who understands how data drives customer interactions and, ultimately, business decisions.  The ideal candidate has experience working with web analytics and advertising data in an ecommerce, agency, or digital publisher environment, and is comfortable working with tools like Adobe Analytics, Google, ServiceTitan, social media analytics platforms, and other data analysis software to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and provide data-driven recommendations to drive digital marketing initiatives across the Wrench Group Performance Marketing team.

Responsibilities

 

What Will I Do?

  • Monitor and analyze performance data from offline and online marketing channels and tactics like digital media campaigns (display, video, and search), website traffic, social media engagement, email marketing,  and call centers to gauge effectiveness
  • Utilize data analysis tools to extract key metrics, identify patterns and trends, and interpret complex datasets
  • Track key performance indicators like conversion rates, click-through rates, bounce rates, customer acquisition costs, and engagement metrics
  • Prepare and produce end-to-end marketing performance reports that highlight trends relative to key benchmarks and include actionable insights and recommendations related to marketing objectives, and deliver findings to a variety of audiences, including the executive level, regional stakeholders, and localized business 
  • Design and build user-friendly dashboards to enable marketing stakeholders to optimize product performance based on data-driven recommendations using a variety of data sets, like ServiceTitan or Adobe Analytics
  • Analyze onsite metrics via Adobe Analytics to identify user journeys, behaviors,  and trends to understand customer interactions and identify user experience opportunities and overall site improvements
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure metrics requirements align with development capabilities
  • Provide QA and monitoring assistance for established products and report data quality issues if/when they arise
  • Contribute to the Performance Marketing team environment by assisting with documentation, ongoing education, researching industry news and best practices, and sharing this knowledge with others, thus contributing to the overall success.

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years digital marketing, advertising and/or web analytics experience
  • Strong understanding of various marketing channels and strategies, including digital and traditional media
  • Proficient in web analytics platforms like GA4 or Adobe Analytics (preferred)
  • Experience working with multiple business units or supporting affiliate business structures
  • Ability to demonstrate strong mathematical and problem-solving skills as it relates to the digital marketing and advertising verticals
  • Hands-on and inherently curious, leveraging strong quantitative and research skills to go above and beyond to analyze and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills using data to tell stories about how marketing initiatives are performing, with the ability to present deliverables (spoken, written, or visual) to different audiences, adjusted and aligned with each audience’s needs and perspectives
  • Familiar with data visualization tools like Tableau, Domo, or PowerBI
  • Basic understanding of SQL or other data manipulation languages is a plus
  • Self-starter with strong creative thinking, analytics, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills who can work independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, accountability, and deadlines, with excellent organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and project management  capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative setting with cross-functional teams
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Flexible and responsive; able to produce deliverables in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Experience with web debugging tools
  • Experience with ServiceTitan a plus
  • Experience in home services vertical a plus
