Overview

Job Overview:

The Project Manager is a strategic and tactical leader, responsible for managing projects from initation through to completion, or a segment of the project lifecyle, while collaborating with cross functional teams to realize operational value across Wrench Group locations.  With a specific focus on operational efficiency, adoption, and optimization, this role encorpoates a strong foundation of project management, stakeholder engagement, communications, implementation, and technology enabled initiatives. TheProject Manager will be a primary conduit that works across our various disciplines (including Operations, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, IT), requiring a strong analytical mindset, delivery orientation, commitment to collaboration, and expertise in engaging with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

The Operations Project Manager will focus on delivery of cross functional projects with a primary emphasis on operationial efficiencies and enablement of the organization through technology, best practices, and collaborationThey will also coordinate across organizations and ensure end to end change management 

Project/Program Leadership 

  • Ensure program roadmaps are developed, adhered to, and project progress is measured as it impacts the whole. 
  • Follow and promote project management best principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned.  
  • Serve as a liaison between operations, IT, HR, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution. 

Delivery Management: 

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. 
  • Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.  
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.  
  • Remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress and facilitate effective communication and collaboration. 
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Document the full implementation strategy including applicable detailed tasks, timelines, resource coordination and validation. 

Communication and Organizational Change Management: 

  • Provide status to senior leadership including key risks, issues and project progress 
  • Present role based materials to all stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. 
  • Promote transparency and visibility within the team and to stakeholders. 
  • Implement change management strategies to support organizational transitions. 
  • Develop and deliver change communication plans and training strategies. 
  • Monitor and measure adoption rates and change effectiveness; implement improvements as needed. 

Qualifications

Do I Have What it Takes 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Management, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in project management. (PMP Preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2, etc.).  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Understanding of both IT and Operations 

Technical Expertise: 

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) and collaboration software (e.g., Confluence, Teams).  
  • Familiar with Strategic Portfolio Management Concepts 
  • Experience with application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard implementation approaches, practices, and methodologies 

Strategic & Leadership Skills: 

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and influencing stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Understanding of Organizational Change ManagementKnowledge and experience of promoting change including benefits, training and role based communications and readiness. Works with other departments to manage change. 

Soft Skills & Competencies:
